Portland accident lawyer Dane Johnson represents people harmed by negligence or wrongful conduct. He has an established record of successfully recovering compensation at trial and in settlement negotiations for personal injury victims.

In addition to his work as an injury attorney, Dane represents and advises nonprofits working in animal rescue. He has resolved cases through dispositive motions and provided legal counsel to animal organizations on a variety of matters, including trusts and estates, contract, and employment law. His animal law practice also includes endangered species and habitat protection.

Dane is a member of the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar’s Animal Law Section and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in Oregon state and federal courts.

Before joining Karuna Law, Dane worked with two of Portland’s top trial lawyers on personal injury cases involving children. As a law student, he clerked in the Oregon Department of Justice Trial Division’s Torts and Employment Law Section and for the Animal Legal Defense Fund helping to fight animal cruelty. Dane graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in the top 10% of his class and was an Associate Editor of the Oregon Law Review.
